Chocolate Rum & Cream

I love Thanksgiving. I mean, what's not to love? A glorious day of eating and amazing company? Helllll yaaaa. How's my day going so far? Well, I'm currently am sitting on the couch with my latest cocktail and watching Lion King with my ain't so bad. 👌 

As I'm back home for the holidays in–the rainy, but beautiful–Seattle, I found myself comforted by delicious coffee, warmth of our fireplace in the living room, and the wonderful smell of my mom and dad's cooking. To keep this short and sweet, I decided to make a cocktail to wrap up this feeling of coziness and family time. 

So here it is! To keep you awake, warm and happy, I give you "Chocolate Rum & Cream". Starring one of my favorite rums for this time of the year, Cruzan's Black Strap Rum–this drink of rum, coffee and chocolate (topped with my dad's homemade whipped cream) has got me feeling pretty happy. Cheers to everyone this Thanksgiving, and may your evening be filled with greatness. 

Let's concoct:

  • 1.5 oz Cruzan's Black Strap Rum
  • .75 oz Godiva's Chocolate Liqueur
  • 3 oz Coffee
  • Whipped Cream

*Build in a mug and top with whipped cream. Slight stir and enjoy.
